Jiaogulan - Herb of Immortality (China)

Gynostemma pentaphyllum originally comes from Asia and was first described in 1406 in the book "Medicinal herbs against famine".

The Chinese province of Guizhou is said to have an above-average number of people who are over 100 years old and who attribute their vitality to the consumption of jiaogulan.

Jiaogulan is one of the 10 most important medicinal plants in TCM (traditional Chinese medicine)!

In some countries the fresh leaves are prepared like salad or spinach, which is the most common form of use but as tea.
