 Kratom (also called "Biak", "Mabog" or "Katawn") refers to the leaves of the red sentol tree, which are both fresh and dried in pharmacy as a medicinal drug (e.g. to relieve pain, diarrhea, fever or as a wound dressing ), as an intoxicant or as an opioid substitute or simply as a luxury product.
 The main component is the alkaloid mitragynine, which occurs in different amounts depending on the variety (red, white or green) and determines the effect.
 In general: Kratom has a paradoxical effect and has a stimulating effect at low doses and sedating to trippy at higher doses.
